  • His direction is outstanding. 
  • Film is based in Penitentiary death row jail of Louisiana in 1935.
  • Story of the movie is, A death row prison guard who experiences supernatural events that occur after an enigmatic convict is brought to the jail. 
  • Story is unique and interesting. 
  • Film is engaging and has many unexpected scenes. 
  • Some scenes are moving and heartbreaking.. Will make you wonder about cruelty and mercy. 
  • Tom Hanks plays the lead role of guard. 
  • He did a good job again. 
  • Other actors, like Michael Clarke Duncan, Sam Rockwell, Doug Hutchison and David Morse were okay!! Doug was better than others. 
  • I personally didn't like Michael's acting.. He never changed his expressions(scared and crying) .. He was same throughout the film. (though he was nominated in Oscars for this role). 
  • Movie reminds of Shawshank Redemption, since it is based in prison. 
  • Crew is also good.
  • You'll enjoy watching The Green Mile.
