Gangs Of New York

• Gangs Of New York is a historical drama film. 
• This movie is directed by Martin Scorsese. 
• His direction was great overall, but at some moments I felt he looses grip. (Eg. The Five point battle, direction of that scene was really weird).
• Plot of the film is about a young Irish immigrant released from prison who returns to Five point, seeking revenge against his father's killer who is a powerful gang leader. This revenge later becomes fight for survival of Irish people in New York. 
• Story is very good, it shines lights on the story of sacrifices made to make New York what it is now.
• Story is based in 1860s, so the setup according to it is really well. The buildings, clothings and all are really upto the mark. 
• You'll never loose intrest in movie.
• Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Day Lewis and Cameron Diaz plays leads in the film.
• All three were fantastic.. Though Daniel could've done it better(According to Me).
• Leonardo again steals the lights with his performance. 
• Movie seems very realistic. Parties, mob scenes, action everything looks perfectly real. 
• Supporting actors were good as well. 
• Cinematography is really good. 
• Background score is appropriate.
• Great work by crew. 
• Film was nominated for 10 Academy Awards including best director best actor, best picture, best cinematography, etc. 
• Gangs Of New York is a great Film.
• Definitely watch it.
